I got an email the day after my audition with Alex that said he'd like to cast me for Lucky Day. The problem is that he plans to shoot the film over the weekend that my tennis league has playoffs and the championship. I informed him of the conflict and haven't heard back, so I presume he's still figuring things out or might not be able to use me. I'm fine with it. If it's meant to be, then it'll happen.
I received a phone call from my agency late this afternoon setting me up for an audition tomorrow morning for a casino commercial. Hmmm... not something I'd pursue on my own and not an activity I encourage, but I'm mainly going for the additional practice of auditioning. I feel like it's a longshot that I'd be cast anyway- not sure if I really fit the look of a gambler! The script is rather humorous and the challenge will be to be as natural and non-actorly as possible. I have an easier time playing off-beat than "normal" roles.
